Vision's MIC1 Series Now Shipping with BlackDiamond Illuminators
Forward Vision, a member of the Bosch Group,
has announced that all infrared models in the MIC1 series of fully functional
Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) cameras are now shipping with enhanced built-in illuminators
from leading infrared specialists Derwent Systems, also in the Bosch Group.
Featuring BlackDiamond™ technology to totally negate image 'hot-spots',
a common problem with other infrared illumination, the light provided
by the twin 850nM illuminators gives outstanding night-time picture quality
to a distance of 55 metres.
James Smith, general manager of Forward Vision, states 'As well as benefiting
from enhanced night time surveillance, the new illuminators are rated
to IP68 to match the specification of the MIC1 cameras themselves. This
ensures reliability in even the toughest conditions - something that our

Suitable for a range of applications from town centres to rapid deployment,
all MIC1 series cameras benefit from an optically perfect flat viewing
window, a choice of 18x or 36x true day/night cameras and brushless motor
technology for whisper quiet and accurate control.
