Launches NVR4000 Network Video Recorder
Plustek Inc, a manufacturer of sheet-fed and
multifunction scanners, has launched the NVR4000, a network video recorder.
An ideal solution for monitoring small shops, petrol stations, business
hotels and small offices, the NVR4000 connects directly to a network,
providing motion Jpeg (M-JPEG) recordings, which can be managed through
IP (Internet protocol) or over a LAN (local area network).
Together with network cameras including IP cameras from Axis Communications,
the Plustek NVR4000 offers a complete surveillance solution for detecting
shoplifters, reducing false alarms, including personnel safety or viewing
premises remotely.
The Plustek NVR4000 provides 4 LAN ports for IP cameras, is reliable and
affordable and has a 320GB hard disc that lets users store data for about
14 days with VGA resolution at one frame per second from four video channels,
with no degradation in image quality. The NVR4000 enables users to remotely
access recorded material and view all live videos on one page through
an intuitive interface and simple management system.
As well as being straightforward to install and easy to use, its bundled
software application enables simultaneous recording and remote access
to live views and playback of recorded images from up to four Plustek
network cameras. It also offers scheduled and triggered recordings at
speeds of up to 120 frames per second in QVGA (320x240 pixels) and QCIF
(160x120) and up to 60 frames VGA (640x480). The NVR4000 provides a scaleable
and distributed management solution of up to 32 channels as up to 8 NVR4000s
can be networked together.
The NVR4000 is priced at £827 excluding VAT and is available now
from Micro-P - http://www.micro-p.com/.
