HM Prison Service is tendering for a contract that will provide for the
Maintenance, Service and breakdown requirements for 14 North West Prisons.
Specifically, Maintenance to the Alarm Systems, including General Alarms,
Fire Alarms, Cell Calls and Pegging Points. Maintenance / Service of Alarm
Systems must be carried out for each establishment consisting of four
scheduled visits per year approximately three months apart, the contractor
must be able to provide emergency breakdown and call out cover 365 days
per year, 24 hours a day. All work must be carried out by a fully trained
Alarm System / Electrician.
All contract staff who work on site will be required to undergo criminal
records checks, carried out by HMPS before being allowed entrance to any
Establishment.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 757 000 GBP.
